39 miles, which may go up a bit when I have found accommodation and see how far off my route it is. I need one stop about 10 miles northwest of Gloucester and another a few miles south of Hereford. If you know of anywhere, please contact me.Open Full Screen Interactive Map
Named for Brenda Wickham MBE who has planned, mapped and gained support from county and local councils and others for long distance riding routes across England and Wales. I first met her as she planned the Sabrina Way, a route running from the Oxfordshire/Gloucestershire border to the Pennine Bridleway. Sabrina was the Roman name for the River Severn. I will cross the Severn at Gloucester. The Sabrina Way crosses at Haw Bridge, south of Tewkesbury. You can see the route of the Sabrina Way by going to http://www.emagin.org/Routes_by_Region/West_Midlands.aspx It is a good route for riders going John O’Groats to Lands End because it gets you past the Midlands conurbation by keeping to the west and then brings you back across the Severn for the journey on south west.
Next section: Hereford to Worcester.
