London was my birthplace, where I grew up and where I went to university. My support for Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre – riding for disabled, is for young people in 

London who have struggles that I never had and don't have the smiles and laughter I enjoyed.

Gloucestershire has been my home since 1984 and I want to be sure that some of what I raise helps young people here, so:

The Family Holiday Association has made a commitment to use funds raised by the Ride to give holidays to at least 20 Gloucestershire families, and

I will help The Cotswold Riding for the Disabled Association to raise £5000 for their activities. Thats quite separate from my main fundraising target. The Cotswold RDA are based at Cheltenham Racecourse only a mile from where I live. I look down to theracecourse from Cleeve Hill every time I ride out.
