Estimated 20 miles.
I do not suppose I can follow the actual road the Romans used behind Hadrian’s Wall, but I will be close to it. I guess their horses were fairly small, shaggy and tough. The Legions marched 20 miles a day, carrying what was needed to make a defensible camp each evening and then breaking it in the morning if there was no built accommodation.
